A Letter From the Secretary-Generals

Dear Advisors, Delegates, Parents, and Distinguished Guests,

It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we extend our invitation to all of you to the first-ever CLAWMUN, hosted in Enumclaw, Washington! As the Secretary-Generals of this brand-new conference, we are excited to share the vision, mission, and journey that brought us here. 

CLAWMUN is a product of our hard work, dedication, and deep passion for international diplomacy and learning. While Enumclaw is new to the MUN scene, we are confident in our staff's knowledge of the relevant topics, and we know that they are dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for all participants.

Through this conference, our goal is to make Enumclaw a place where innovation in diplomacy emerges, as well as to expand the scope of MUN in the region. In our experience so far, MUN is an opportunity that is available mostly to students from a select few schools, and while we appreciate their contributions to MUN, we believe that MUN should be for everyone. Thus, by hosting our conference specifically for delegates from schools that have not traditionally been represented in Model UN, we aim to open the world of MUN to delegates outside this somewhat exclusive group. 

For the first time (literally) we are excited to provide an array of varied and exciting committees, from UNODC to HCC. We hope this selection will appeal to all delegate interests, but also request understanding if some delegates are unable to find a committee that they are especially passionate about, as we are focusing on ensuring a high standard of quality in the committees we are currently able to offer.  

We are confident that this conference will be a remarkable beginning for CLAWMUN, and we are thrilled to welcome delegates to join us on this exciting journey toward greater global understanding and cooperation.
